Description:

Walk daily, dawn to dusk. 5k route rated 1C is out and back between the picnic shelter and the campground, then along trails near hatchery to view the falls and creek. Mostly flat on rugged forest trails with no significant hills. 7k route rated 3C is up hill climb along rugged trail to turnaround and back and then around the trails near the hatchery. Walking sticks might be helpful. Do both routes for 12k.

2111 Exchange Street, Astoria Oregon 97103. US30 to Astoria. From the east, turn left on Exchange (opposite of the Shell Station) to Hospital parking at 20th & Exchange. From the west, turn right on 20th to Hospital parking. Enter the revolving door of the West Lobby and go left to find the wooden file cabinet located next to the wheelchairs behind a plant. Use Emergency entrance evenings and weekends to gain access. Register here, then drive east of Astoria about 18.9 miles on US 30 to Gnat Creek Fish Hatchery to participate.
