PETS are not allowed in the Start Point, on the Cathedral grounds or in the National Zoo. Cathedral Hours: 10 AM to 4:30 PM. Zoo Hours: 10 AM to 6 PM April through Oct.; 10 AM to 4:30 PM Nov - March; closed Christmas Day. The Zoo may close due to ice or snow. If in doubt, call the Zoo at 202-633-4800.The Seneca Valley Sugarloafers charges all participants over 12 a $3 fee. Restrooms and water are available at the start point, the Cathedral & the Zoo.The Zoo/National Cathedral 10k trail goes through the Zoo, some of the finest neighborhood in Washington, DC, and the grounds of the National Cathedral. The trail is mostly on paved surfaces. The 5k trail goes to and through the zoo.Visitors to the National Zoo must obtain free entry passes in advance, available online only, at https://nationalzoo.si.edu/visit .

Ave entrance, go down stairs to McDonalds. Look LEFT. The Start Box usually kept on floor by the Trash container.
