PPSF. NOTE: HIGHWAY 242 DOES NOT NORMALLY OPEN UNTIL THE THIRD MONDAY IN JUNE OF EACH YEAR. ALWAYS CHECK LOCAL WEATHER & FIRE DANGER CONDITIONS BEFORE REGISTERING AND HEADING FOR THE WALK. WOC: Nature, Overlooks, Trails.

Event information
DRIVE TO START: From I-5 exit 194A Hwy 126 then right on SR242. Usually open 3rd Monday in June. Good idea to check Highway conditions before going this route. www.tripcheck.com. ALTERNATE ROUTE: From Sisters OR, you will take 242 West. Walk directions and map are on the on-line start box. No start box in area. Moderate hike with an elevation gain of about 900 feet. Mountain views and lakes.
