Event information

This is a level walk on the Linesville to Jamestown Rail Trail and is a grass and cinder walkway, through a partial wooded area that gets muddy and wet. This trail passes the famous Linesville Spillway, the PA Game Commission's Pymatuning Wildlife Learning Center, Fish hatcheries, the PA Fish and Boat Commission's Linesville Fish Culture Station, and the University of Pittsburgh Ecology Lab. This trail is in the Crawford County. The first weekend in April is "Open House" for the PA Commission Centers with events. Take a 3 day old loaf of Italian bread and throw it in the Spillway to watch the geese and ducks walk on the backs of hundreds of carp to get their share of the bread. The Cafe at the Spillway has ice cream and food as well as bread and fish pellets for purchase to feed the fish. Please carry water and use sunscreen and insect spray. This trail is also used by 2 wheel bikers.
