Event information
Closed all holidays. Tour Operators please make arrangements with the POC. Pets cannot enter the National Cemetery on the 15K walk. ***** After registering for either 5K trail, you must drive about five miles to the start. The 15K starts from the YWCA.***** Both of the 5K trails start from the trailhead for the Roundtop Trail. The 5K Little Roundtop Trail does and out and back on roads to the south east of Little Roundtop to positions held by the Sixth Corps. On the return it takes the trail past the position of the 20th Maine over the top of Little Round Top and then does a loop to the north and west around the base of the hill. ***** The 5K Wheatfield Trail goes to the the parking area for Devil's Den and then goes on roads around the Wheatfield and the Devil's Den area. ***** The 15K trail starts from the YWCA and goes on the Confederate line on Seminary Ridge, past the Peach Orchard and Wheatfield, on the Union line on Cemetery ridge, through the National Cemetery, site of Lincoln's Gettysburg Address, and the South and West areas of Gettysburg. ***** The trails are on paved park roads, park trails, road shoulders, and city sidewalks. ***** Parts of the two 5K trails are on dirt and gravel paths and are not suitable for wheel chairs and strollers will have a lot of difficulty.
