Description:

The walk goes by historic homes and churches. You will meander through a 40 acre park with "Tingles" -humorous tree carvings done by a local artist. The walk passes by sculptures and murals also done by local talent. Stroll through the University of Montevallo campus with buildings dating from 1820s and 1850s to the present.

Walk Box located at 541 Main St, Montevallo, AL. Take Exit 228 off of I-65. Take AL Hwy 25 S through Calera. Right on Hwy 155 N.(Middle St) Left on Hwy 119 (Main St) City Hall located on Right. Turn Right into parking lot Box located in lobby --- Drive to Start Point Left on Main St. Left on Middle St. Right on Valley to 845 Valley St. Walk starts with your back facing the Global Community Outreach/ Office of Veterans and Military Affairs building. Park on street or back of bank parking lot.

Mask required to enter city hall. Please take your own pen and sanitizer. The box is located in the main lobby of Montevallo City Hall. The doors of City Hall are opened 8:00AM- 4:30PM Monday through Friday. On weekends, go to the intercom box on the right hand wall near the front entrance. The police dispatcher will open the door. Recommend to stamp books and take envelope so you will not have to return to start point to stamp book. Remember mask, pen and sanitizer.
