Event comments
Hours are Monday - Friday 10 am - 7 pm, Saturday 9 am - 6 pm and Sunday 9 am - 5 pm. Call to confirm that they are open on holidays. The shop is closed on New Year's Eve so this event will end on 12/30/21.The West Newton Bicycle Shop sells, rents and repairs bicycles. The Trailside deli, located above the bicycle shop, they can prepare a picnic lunch for purchase. NO FREE WALKERS.

Event information
The route consists of the 5K East Trail and the 5K West Trail. Either trail may be done for 5K credit; both trails must be done for 10K credit. Both trails on the Great Allegheny Passage which is a rail trail with a crushed limestone surface. A 1K option if you visit the West Newton Historic Cemetery.

Driving to the start box
106 West Newton Street, West Newton, PA 15089 (724)872-2185 In Westmoreland County. From Interstate 70 take exit 43 onto PA-201N towards Donora. Turn right onto Rostraver Rd/PA-201. Veer right onto PA-136. The West Newton Bicycle Shop will be on the right, before crossing the bridge. The trailhead is off the parking lot of the West Newton Bicycle Shop.
