Event information

Walk will be on sidewalks and shoulders of road through the City of Poquoson. A small portion will be on the Oxford Run Trail. Start point is open from11 am to 9 pm Monday thru Friday and from 9 am to 3 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Closed on Christmas Day. Qualifies for the City of Poquoson in the Virginia Cities program. The diner has really good food at a reasonable price.

Driving to the start box

480 Wythe Creek Road, From North and West: Take I-64 East to Hampton and exit at Exit 256B, Victory Boulevard. At the top of the ramp, turn right and follow Victory Boulevard approximately 5.2 miles (through eight traffic lights). At McDonalds on the right, turn left on Wythe Creek Road. The diner is on the right just past the strip mall. Park in the strip mall parking lot. From Norfolk And Hampton: Take I-64 West to Exit 262 (Magruder Boulevard). Follow Magruder Boulevard approximately 3.1 miles. At the fifth traffic light, turn right on Commander Shepard Boulevard (McDonalds is on right and Hardees is on the left shortly after this turn). At the next light, turn left onto Wythe Creek Road. Follow this for approximately 2.1 miles, passing NASA, and entering Poquoson. At the third traffic light, just past McDonalds, continue straight on Wythe Creek Road. The diner is on the right just past the strip mall. Park in the strip mall parking lot.
