Event information
This is an out-and-back trail that follows somewhat hilly but mostly shaded paved paths. The trail passes through the woods along small streams and goes three-quarters of the way around Lake Mercer before returning to the start/finish point.

Driving to the start box
I-66: Exit 55 (Fairfax Co Pkwy/VA-286). S VA-286 to Fairfax about 10 miles, traffic signal with Reservation Rd left, and S Run RECenter right. Right to road into park. Park in lot in front of RECenter. I-495 (Capital Beltway): Exit 54A (Braddock Rd W), about 1.4 miles to traffic signal at Burke Lake. Left to drive Burke Lake, about 3.6 miles to traffic signal at Fairfax Co Pkwy (VA-286). Left to VA-286, drive 2 miles, traffic signal with Reservation Rd left, and S Run RECenter to right. Right to road into park, parking lot front of RECenter. Bathrooms available inside. GPS address: 7550 Reservation Rd.
