Description: The trailhead is about a 35 minute drive from Medford. A favorite hiking trail for local residents, Grizzly Peak is a moderate trail taking you to grand vistas of the Rogue Valley. On a clear day you'll view Mt McLaughlin from the start of the trail and on top facing south you get a nice look at CA's 14K foot tall Mt Shasta. To the west and north you can see Ashland and Medford in the sprawling Rogue Valley.

Start Point / Driving Directions: 200 N. Riverside Ave, Medford OR 97501, (541) 779-5811. From southbound I-5 take exit 30 toward OR-62/Crater Lake Highway/Medford/Klamath Falls for .3 miles, turn right onto Crater Lake Hwy (OR-62) toward OR-238 for .4 miles, turn left onto Court St (OR-99) for 1.3 miles, turn left onto E. 5th St for .1 miles and left onto N. Riverside Ave to the Inn. From north I-5 take exit 27 toward South Medford/OR-99/Hospital/To Barnett Road onto Belknap Rd for .5 miles. Turn left onto E. Barnett Rd for .7 miles, Right onto S. Riverside Ave (OR-99) for 1.1 miles and arrive at the Inn.

Comments: The trail is 8km, but 10km can be achieved by walking an out and back section of the peak loop trail or by continuing down the forest road to the first intersection below the trailhead. Pit toilet available at the trailhead.
