Update as of December 14: The Gettysburg YWCA hosts the start box for the three Volkswalks, a Volksswim, and a Volksbike sponsored by the York White Rose Wanderers. The gym and swimming pool at the YWCA are closed until January 4. The YWCA is still open for childcare so you can access the start box when Child Care is open. This is from 6:30 am - 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday. They will probably close early on Dec 24 and 31. Since the swimming pool is closed, the Volksswim is not available.******************************************************************* Mon-Fri, 4:30 am-10pm; Sat, 8-5; Sun, 10-5 Closed all holidays. Tour Operators please make arrangements with the POC. ***** This walk starts from the Gettysburg YWCA. ***** This walk focuses on the first day of the Battle of Gettysburg. It visits the battle lines of the Union First Corps, the Peace Light, the campus of Gettysburg College, downtown Gettysburg, and the campus of the Lutheran Seminary.

Driving to the start box
909 Fairfield Rd, Gettysburg, PA 17325 (717)334-9171. From the square in Gettysburg go south on Baltimore St. (Bus. 15 S., PA 116 W.) 1 block to Middle St.Turn right on Middle St. (PA 116 W.) and go 7/10 mile, passing traffic signals at Washington St., Franklin St, West St., and Confederate Ave./Seminary Ridge. The YWCA driveway is 1/10 mile past Confederate Ave. on the right.
