Event comments
Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. All routes qualify for Vice Presidential Walks and Animal Safari, and routes 10km #2 and 20km qualify for National Park SP. These parks tell the story of our 36th President beginning with his ancestors to his final resting place on this, his beloved ranch. This "circle of life" provides a visitor the most complete picture of any American President. The NPS offers 20-minute tours of the recently renovated ground floor of the Texas White House. A fee of $3 is charged for the tour. Related LBJ sites (Boyhood Home, early settlement, Visitor Center) may be found in Johnson City.

Event information
There are four routes -- 5km, 2 x 10km, 20km. The 10 km routes halve the 20km route in case you can't do all 20km at the same time. The longer routes also cover the National Historical Park. A short section of stairs down/up a creek bed and stone crossing can be avoided if needed. Watch out for cattle, bison, longhorns, and deer.

On US 290, between Fredericksburg (US 87) and Johnson City (US 281), 2 miles E of Stonewall. Call 830-644-2252 or 800-792-1112 or check website for latest park updates. WALK BOX is in Visitor Center, by the bench.
