Event comments
There is one short hill on the 10K (to the cemetery), but most of the walk is flat. You will be walking mostly on sidewalks but there is one section across grass along Little Chiques Creek. The 5K trail passes through three of the parks and Main Street. There are porta potties in several parks. You can access the walk box on the inns side porch without disturbing the owner. If there are diners breakfasting on the side porch, please take the box off the porch to do your paperwork. The inn is a lovely B&B if you happen to be staying in the area overnight.

Event information
The 10K walk goes through six named city parks in Mount Joy including Rotary Park, Cove Outlook Park, Borough Park, Little Chiques Park, Memorial Park, and Mount Joy Grandview Park. You will also walk down Main St with its quaint shops, B&Bs, post office, restaurants, and coffee shop. The 10K trail also includes the Mount Joy Cemetery with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. The 5K trail is rated 1A.

Driving to the start box
127 E Main St, Mount Joy, PA 17552 (PA-230). The walk box is kept on the side porch. Take PA-283 to Mount Joy. Westbound - Take the E Main St/PA-230 exit towards Mount Joy. Travel 3.2 miles to the inn on your right. Eastbound - Take the Esbenshade Rd exit and turn right onto Esbenshade Rd. At the second traffic light, turn right on E Main St (PA-230). Travel 2.5 miles to the inn on your right. Park on the side streets near the Inn.
