how to get to the event

Driving to the start box

610 Forest Ave., Lansdale, PA 19446 (215-368- 1601). The box is at the Y Reception Desk (typically found under the desk) in the lobby of the North Penn Commons building at the above address. The desk (usually unstaffed) is about 100 feet from the entrance, on the right, just after the swimming pool viewing windows. From the PA Turnpike I-276, take Exit 339/Fort Washington onto PA-309 N toward Ambler. Go approx. 6 miles to Welsh Rd/PA-63 and turn left. (Note: A left turn cannot be made directly from PA-309 to PA-63. Just before the intersection, turn right on Lower State Rd. then left on PA-63/Welsh Rd.) Continue on PA-63 approx. 3 miles. Turn left on Highland Ave., then left on Forest Ave to the Lansdale Area Family YMCA in the North Penn Commons building on the left. (From the parking lot you may only see North Penn Commons on the side of the marquee.) If the parking lot is full, park in the shopping center lot next to the Y.
