Event comments
Trail greatly affected by inclement weather. Distances are divided into 3 sections: Ashland 12k, Monkton South 11k, and Monkton North 10k. After registering you must drive to the start. Directions will be in the box. Total distance is 33k and is on a converted railroad bed of finely crushed stone and packed dirt. Much of trail is in the shade beside streams.

Event information
Daily, dawn to dusk. Walks on the southern section of Northern Central Rail (NCR) trail; a converted railbed of finely crushed stone. There is a great deal of shade along the trail, which frequently parallels a stream. Natural surface trail is greatly affected by inclement weather. Pets must be leashed with clean up. After registering you must drive to the start. Directions will be in the box.

11200 York Rd, Cockeysville, MD, 410-527-1500. I-83, exit 20A, Shawan E, to York Rd, MD Rt 45. Right on York Rd to 1st light at Ashland. Inn on right. Directions to start of trail will be on walk directions.
