Manzanita Town and Nehalem Bay State Park - Walk daily, dawn to dusk. News & Espresso hours are daily 7 am to 5 pm. The 10km is rated 1B for sand and dirt paths. Revised route for 2019 includes a Little Free Library. Stroll through the business district (food, snacks & shopping) and then walk on the bike path to Nehalem Bay State Park, where you will walk on the loop trail passing the amphitheater. Enjoy ocean, mountain, bay and wetland views of this quiet coastal town nestled beneath Neahkahnie Mountain. Public restroom available across 5th Street in the cement building by the basket ball court, at the Visitor Center (on the route) in the State Park (summer only). Carry water

Driving to the start box
500 Laneda Ave, Manzanita, OR 97130. Follow Hwy 101 to Manzanita. Just south of Milepost 43, turn west onto Laneda into Manzanita. Turn left onto S 5th Street, to Public Parking behind the bus stop. Enter News & Espresso, which is adjacent to Public Parking, bear left past the order counter to book shelf by the windows and find a gray vinyl expandable file folder containing start materials.
