Event comments
The Gettysburg Battlefield is dominated by hills (Seminary Ridge, Culp's Hill, Little Round Top, etc) and the bike route goes up the hills. Helmets must be worn. ***** the "A" Award is a 4" patch featuring the 1st Minnesota Monument which is passed on the 26K route for the bike ride.

Event information
Mon-Fri, 4:30 am-10pm; Sat, 8-5; Sun, 10-5 Closed most holidays. This trail starts at the YWCA. The 26K route is a figure 8 on paved roads around and through the Battlefield and Gettysburg. The 15K route is only half of the figure 8. The 26K route covers most of the major parts of the battlefield and bicycling is an excellent way to tour the battlefield. The 15K route is only thru parts of the battlefield for the first day of the battle and the Spangler Spring/Culps Hill/East Cemetery Hill parts of the battlefield from the second day. You will be bicycling with vehicular traffic
