Event comments

This event will now have a $3.00 fee for all who walk. Rather than walking "Free" you will walk as a Non-IVV Participant, which requires payment of $3.00 per time you walk. New 5K loop added which is a 1A. 10K trail is Rated 2A for a long uphill stretch toward the end of the 10K route. This walk is entirely on sidewalk. Walk route goes through historic downtown Oakwood, past the Wright Brothers mansion, and the Patterson homestead. There are fun restaurants near the halfway point of the 10K walk. The walk will take you through University of Dayton campus. The Original 5K trail walk takes you through Oakwood, past the Wright Brothers Manion, and through the historic neighborhoods of Oakwood. Restrooms are available at start/finish, and at halfway on the 10k route. The NEW 5K trail takes you to Lincoln Park and through various neighborhoods. Water and food available at start/finish and restaurants on 10K route.

Driving to the start box

2710 Far Hills Avenue, Dayton, OH 45419. From the north, east, or west -Take I-75 South to Exit 54B Main Street. Turn left and proceed 5 miles south on Main Street to Dorothy Lane Market on left. From the south - Take I-675 North to Exit 4B (OH48). Continue 4 miles north to Dorothy Lane Market on right.
