Event comments
The Police Dept. is open 24/7. Please walk in daylight hours. Trail: Both 5K loops are rated 1A. The trail consists of sidewalks and paved roads. The North 5K loop includes walking along the fence which borders WPAFB runway 23R, take off for C-17's and other military aircraft (Airport) and Little Free Library. It has one small hill with a 54' gain. The South 5K loop includes an Ice Cream Parlor and another Little Free Library (both are store hour dependent), historic Fairfield Cemetery which also borders WPAFB and contains grave site of General Musser, early resident of Fairborn. Also, Musser-Smith Log Cabin, Osborne Historic District, Foy's iconic costume shops, 10 cent Store, a "MUST STOP," and family diner, open until 3 p.m. In addition, antique stores and other quaint businesses including Giovanni's Traditional Restaurant closed on Monday. Both loops are suitable for strollers and wagons. Wheelchairs may have a problem because of uneven sidewalks and curb cuts. Pets are welcome when accompanied by owner, leashed and scooped after. (Please do not take them in the Start/Finish.) Restrooms and water are available in the Police Station.

Event information
Start/Finish: The Box is inside the Public area for the POLICE STATION. The Walk Box is on top of the Drug Drop Box marked "Walk Box." Please put the box back in the same place you find it. DO NOT USE the red phone unless it is a 911 EMERGENCY. If you do not see the box, call 937-878-8381 or 937-477-2553.

Driving to the start box
Fairborn Police Station, 70 W. Hebble Ave., Fairborn, OH, 45324. Directions: Fairborn is located in southwestern Ohio along I-70 about 6 miles north-east of Dayton. I-675 connects I-70 and I-75. From I-675, North or South, Exit 24 at OH 444, toward Fairborn. From the South turn Left. From the North turn Right. Continue into Fairborn on OH 444, which turns into Broad Street. Left on Hebble Ave (McDonald's) and Right on Third St. Left into the Police Station/City Offices and Right into the City Parking Lot. DO NOT PARK in Police Parking, Police Visitor or City Personnel Parking.
