Event information
Choose from the 10k or one of the two 6k short routes. Walk hours dawn-dusk daily. A lovely historical walk through the old town of Maumee with descriptions of homes and businesses, building styles and dates built. The route travels along the towpath of the former Miami-Erie Canal, passing several of the old locks in the Sidecut Metropark. Perfect for a picnic lunch during or after the walk or stop at Jacky's Ice Cream depot for a quick treat. You will pass a Window on Wildlife in this Metropark.

Driving to the start box
109 E Dudley. From OH Turnpike/I-80/90, exit 59 S on S Reynolds (Reynolds changes name to Conant in Maumee) to Maumee. Crossing US 24 go 5 blocks to E Broadway, turn left. Left again on Gibbs 1 block to E Wayne to E Mews for parking. Maumee Police Dept 1 block N of Mews. Limited street parking on E Dudley. Walk box located under bench in lobby.
