Event information

8:30 am to 5:00pm Tues - Sun thru Memorial Day. After Memorial Day will be open 7 days a week. Ticket Center closes promptly at 5:00 pm. Call before going on Federal Holidays or when snowing. Route is on city streets and sidewalks with a couple of low-grade hills. The trail goes past President Truman's home, The Truman Presidential Library, Jackson County Courthouse and many historic sites from the late 1800's & early 1900's. Please let groups and people going on tours sign in first. Water and restrooms are available at the start . This walk qualifies for Jackson County in the MO County Walking Special Program.www.facebook.com/PaceSetters644

Driving to the start box

219 N. Main St., Independence, MO. 816-254-7199. Coming East or West on I-70 to Noland Rd; go north on Noland Rd to Truman Rd; Turn Left on Truman Rd to Main St. Turn left on Main St. Ticket Center is on the southeast corner of Truman Rd and Main St, in the Truman Home Ticket Office. Parking is across the street in parking lot.
