Event comments
Comfort Inn is the former Holiday Inn Express. After registering at the motel, you will drive about 1.5 miles to the McDonald's Restautant located at 416 West 6th Street. Parking will be in the back parking area behind McDonald's. Please consider your pet's health as well as your own with the Kansas heat, humidity, and wind. Take water with you for yourself and your pet. Pets should not be taken if participant plans on visiting any museums and/or businesses. Please walk only during daylight. Restrooms are available at both businesses

Event information
Walking trail covers the downtown area with many old limestone buildings, Opera House, Courthouse, Geary County Historical Museum, and Heritage Park. The remaining areas would include older residential areas featuring shaded streets, Franklin School, and several historic churches. The 10 km has one long substantial hill along with 2 other short inclines. Junction City is the county seat of Geary County.
