Description: Welcome to Calapooia Country. This walk is two 5K loops that takes you through a college campus and the trees of the Central Willamette Valley. A area where the local Native Americans thrived along the river that was named after them. If you enjoy the quiet and solitude of the outdoors, this walk is for you. Note: Parts of this trail can be a little damp in early spring. Hiking shoes recommended. Be wary of wet area at foot bridge. Foot bridge in process of rebuild. 7:00am until dusk Mon.-Sat. 8:00am Sunday

Start Times: 7:00am until dusk Mon.-Sat. 8:00am Sunday

Start Point / Driving Directions: Java Network, 5444 Pacific Blvd. SOUTH BOUND from I-5: Exit 234B, Stay on Pacific Bld. (99E) Stay in RIGHT Lane for 4.9 miles. At Traffic Light at 53rd Street Go straight for about 1 block And Right into Java Network parking area. NORTH BOUND from I-5: take exit 228 And Left onto Hwy. 34 toward Linn-Benton Community College. Go 2.3 miles and take exit that says City Center Linn-Benton. Then Left at Light onto Pacific Bld. (99E) Go 2.6 Miles and Left into Parking for Java Network. NOTE: Java Network is located in part of the Lake Shore lanes Bowling Alley Building. So look for lake Shore lanes Sign, which is hard to see on Pacific Blvd. In Java Network ask for walk binder at counter.
Awards & Fees: IVV Credit Only
Comments: Free walkers are welcome but must register to walk. credit walker pay 3.00 dollars. Pets are welcome but must obey leash laws and cleanup. WOC: Deli, Engines, Entertainment, Gardens, Java, Nature. There is a "Little Free library" at 1659 Salmon Run 1/2 blk. from the trail There will be instructions in the start book for this challenge.
