Event information

The initial 5km is out and back half on sidewalks and half on the Patuxent Branch Trail. The remaining 5km circles Lake Elkhorn on the Lake Loop. It is primarily on paths with some sidewalks. Either half can be done as a 5km only. However to do only Lake Elkhorn, you must drive to the Lake Elkhorn parking area.

Driving to the start box

8600 Guilford Rd, Columbia, MD 21046-2616. From North, South, and East - from I-95 take exit 38B, (Route 32) west to the second exit (Shaker Drive) and turn right to pass over Rt. 32. Go past two traffic lights and turn left into the King's Contrivance Village Center. From West - from I-70, take Exit 80 (Route 32) east to Columbia. Exit at Eden Brook Drive (one exit past MD Rt. 29) and turn right onto Old Columbia Road. Turn left at first traffic light, Eden Brook Drive. Continue straight at next traffic light and turn left into the King's Contrivance Village Center. Park in the vicinity of McDonald's. The start box is out on the counter on the left.
