Event information
The Trail Center is open seven days a week from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The walk is on established dirt trails marked and maintained by the First Landing State Park system. There are uphill climbs and an option which includes a walk on a sandy beach. From sandy beaches to cypress swamps, this walk explores a popular natural scenic area of the resort city.

Driving to the start box
2500 Shore Drive. 757-412-2300 Take favorite route to I-64 Hampton Roads Beltway. At Exit 282 (Northampton Blvd.), take ramp right for US-13 North toward Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel / Virginia Wesleyan College. Pass Wawa in 1.5 miles. Take ramp right for US-60 East toward Beaches / Hospital. Bear right onto US-60 E / Shore Dr. Pass BP in 2.9 miles. Arrive 1st Landing State Park (signal light). Turn right into park. Pay parking fees ($5.00) and continue up the hill to the parking lot and Trail Center. Ask attendant for the start box.
