Event information
Walk on street shoulders in minimal car use areas and park paths past nice homes in a residential area into Blue Lake Park. Walk along the shore past many group picnic areas and back along a short section of Fairview Lake for the 5K. The 10K route will circle Fairview Lake. DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN BLUE LAKE. THERE IS A 6K ALTERNATE ROUT AROUND FAIRVIEW LAKE. You can walk from 7am to dusk . Fred Meyer is open 7;00 am-11;00pm daily. The store is closed on Christmas Day and closes at 4;00pm Thanksgiving Day and 6;00pm on Christmas Eve. This is a remote start walk. You will drive a short distance to the start. This walk is sponsored by club member Louise Dix.

Driving to the start box
22855 NE Park Lane, Wood Village. From I-84 west take Exit 14 from the freeway.Right on 207th and go 3-4 blocks to NE Halsey St. Left to 223rd Ave. Right to Park Lane. Left with signal at Park Lane and follow the drive to the Fred Meyer store.From the east take Exit 14 and left on 207th and follow the directions above. You can take the Sandy Bus #12 to Troutdale and get off at the Wood Village Shopping Center. Please use the entrance to the right of the pharmacy drive through. There is no longer a start box. THE VOLKSWALK BOOK IS ON THE BOTTOM SHELF OF THE BOOKCASE AT THE END OF THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DESK. REMOTE START.
