Event information
Walk is along site that honors Lewis & Clark and their exploration to find a waterway to the Pacific Ocean. Will see wildlife, Chain of Rock Ship Canal, Lewis & Clark campsite and museum. Trail is combination of asphalt and limestone, rating 1 with some difficulty for strollers and sheelchairs. Start Point is open 9:00 to 4:00 Wednesday thru Sunday and closed on Monday, Tuesday and holidays. Due to the State of Illinois in a budget crisis, you may want to call ahead to be sure of the days and times they are open (618/251-5811).

Rt. 3 - Hartford, IL. 62048;From I-270 take IL Rt. 3 north approximately 3 miles. Historic site on left.
