Event comments
A new Visitors Center and restored farm are now open along with playground areas offering a wide variety of swings, slides and climbing equipment, making this a wonderful walk for children of all ages. Restrooms located in KFP. YR1896 follows paved paths through parks and relatively flat residential streets. Most of the trail is through Kinder Farm Park, a restored farm property with live animals, and on the Baltimore/Annapolis Trail Park which was once the railroad bed for the Baltimore/Annapolis Shortline Railroad.

Daily 7 am-dusk. PARK OPEN 7-DAYS A WEEK NOW. Fee for IVV credit or non-IVV is $3. Children 12 and under walk free (IVV Credit included) courtesy of Freestate Happy Wanderers.

Driving to the start box
From Rts I-95 & I-295, take MD 100 E, Exit 16B (Rts 2 & 10 N). North on Rt 2 (Ritchie Hwy) to 2nd traffic signal at Americana Circle. TURN RIGHT on Americana Circle, after a short block TURN RIGHT. Starbucks on right. Walk box in table area. Register here, then drive 3.8 miles to start point. (You may also register for the Glen Burnie - BWI Aircraft Observation Overlook Trail walk, YR1360 here.
