Event information
The 10 KM Parkville walk includes English Landing Park and Parkville Nature Sanctuary. The first part of the walk will take you through downtown Parkville with its quaint shops and restaurants. From there the walk will take you to the Nature Sanctuary. Waterfalls, trees, and wildlife abound in this area. After exiting the Nature Sanctuary, you will then go through historic Park University campus and its unique underground library and classrooms. After leaving this educational facility founded in 1875, you will walk to English Landing Park and walk along beautiful trails that skirt the Missouri River. If you�re lucky you may even see an eagle or two on the banks of the river. Qualifies for �Platte County� in the Walking MO County Special Program.

Driving to the start box
103 Main St. Parkville, MO From I-635: Take the Highway 9 exit west to Parkville. Turn left on Main Street, cross the railroad tracks, and park anywhere in the large parking area. From I-29: Exit on I-635 West. Take the Highway 9 exit toward Parkville. Follow the directions listed above. The Parkville Coffee Shop is a short 1 block away. After parking car, walk back to Main Street, cross the railroad tracks and continue to the Parkville Coffee Shop (start box is located upstairs on floor under bookshelves). After registering and leaving coffee shop, turn right and continue on Main Street. Coffee shop is open M-F 6:00 am-6:00 pm; Sat-Sun 7:00 am - 6:00 pm.
