Event information
The Liberty Town Walk will take walkers through many historic neighborhoods, near complete with restored Victorian homes, interesting landscape, and many historic churches. The walk also goes through William Jewell College, which is a historic Baptist school. William Jewell contains an old Civil War shot tower and the very up-to-date White Science Hall, complete with an observatory. The walk winds through a very old cemetery on campus and by an old Baptist Church, which was moved to the campus.The walk ends with a tour around the historic Liberty Square, complete with the Clay County Courthouse. Qualifies for "Clay County" in the Walking MO County Special Program.

Driving to the start box
1600 South Withers. Liberty, MO 64068:From I-35, I-435, or Highway 169: Take Highway 152 toward Liberty. Turn right on Highway 291. Drive to Liberty Drive. Turn right for about 120 yards, and continue onto Withers Road. Drive on Withers to the Liberty Community Center which will be on the right. There will be signs for the Community Center on Highway 291. Walkers will need to drive to the start location for this route. Please ask at the front desk for the walk box.
