Description: Walk across the first highway bridge constructed over the Columbia river in the USA. It opened in 1908 and is now a pedestrian/bike trail. Great views of the river and the local mountains. Walk along the river on the paved Apple Capital Recreation Trail. Both 6K and 10K walk in Chelan and Douglas Counties.

Start Times: dawn to dusk
Location: Cedars Inn Motel
Start Point / Driving Directions: 80 9th St NE, East Wenatchee. WESTBOUND I-90; take Exit 151. Take SR 281 north to Quincy. Turn left on SR 28 to East Wenatchee. In East Wenatchee, stay in right lane following SR 28 north. At the roundabout, go straight (which is 2nd exit off roundabout). Turn right at the light onto 9th St. NE, then make an immediate right into parking lot of Cedars Inn. From Seattle; take I-90 East, SR 970, US 97 North over Blewett Pass, and US 2 to Wenatchee. Take the US 2 turn off to Spokane at the clover leaf and cross the Columbia River bridge. Turn right at the light on SR 28 and go south to East Wenatchee. Turn left at 9th St. NE, then an immediate right into parking lot of Cedars Inn. From Yakima; take I-82 and US 97 north over Blewett Pass. Follow above directions for Seattle starting with US 2. Daily dawn to dusk. Ask for walk box at front desk.
