Mon - Sun 6:30am to 10pm. Closed Christmas. The very historic, Old Hangtown segment, will take you through historic downtown, passing many historic buildings, one of which is the oldest working hardware store west of the Mississippi and through some new and old residential areas. The10km will continue to a historic Gold Mine, where you will walk on dirt trails throughout the park. The 14km segment is an out and back over Weber Creek, which is the Rails to Trails part of the old Southern Pacific Railroad, Sacramento to Placerville line. It has 5, 10, and 14km options, and is suitable for strollers, but not wheelchairs. This walk is part of the Old Lincoln Highway. *Historic Old Hangtown 10km 3C no strollers, *Historic Old Hangtown 5km -1A strollers medium because of a down flight of stairs, *Weber Creek, Rails to Trails 14,10, 5km - 1A

Driving to the start box
222 Main Street, Placerville, CA 95667. From Sacramento take 1-50 eastbound to Placerville, exit RIGHT at Spring Street/CA 49. Turn LEFT onto Main Street. Buttercup Pantry is on the RIGHT, across the street from the Shell gas station. From Lake Tahoe, take 1-50 westbound, to Placerville. At 2nd stoplight turn LEFT onto Spring Street/CA 49, then turn LEFT onto Main Street. Buttercup Pantry is on the RIGHT, across the street from the Shell gas station. (The walk box is behind the counter, just ask an employee for it. PLEASE DO NOT INTERRUPT STAFF IF THEY ARE WAITING ON CUSTOMERS, OR ASK THEM VOLKSSPORT QUESTIONS.)
