Description: Event is at ~6200 ft. elevation. The Walk will be on bike paths, campground and dirt trails throughout Tahoma, and Sugar Pine Point State Park. Walkers will enjoy a bit of history as part of the trail is where the Biathlon and Cross-Country Ski events took place during the 1960 Winter Olympics. The paved 6K walk route is okay for strollers and wheelchairs, but not recommended for the 11K. Pets on leash with cleanup are only allowed on the 6k route. These Tahoma routes are NEW for 2018. Tahoe House Bakery & Gourmet; Hours: 6am--4pm Sun--Thur. & 6am--6pm Fri. & Sat. May close earlier in off season. Snow/ice will cancel this event.

Start Point / Driving Directions: 625 W. Lake, Tahoe City 96145 530-583-1377E I-80 from Sacramento and W I-80 from Reno, exit #185 Hwy #89/Lake Tahoe at Truckee to Tahoe City. Right in Tahoe City at "Y" take #89-S, for 0.6 mi. Tahoe House Bakery & Gourmet on right. From Hwy #50 in South. Lake Tahoe, take Hwy #89 N to Tahoe City, 26.4 mi. Tahoe House Bakery & Gourmet on left. After registering, you will drive about 8.6 miles S on Hwy #89 to Tahoma. (see walk instructions)
