Event information
Daylight hours. Start box is located behind the concierge desk. Walk circles Diamond Head Crater, passing the Waikiki Aquarium, Honolulu Zoo, and Kapiolani Community College. Enter Diamond Head Crater State Park through a tunnel, and continue on a steady uphill .7 miles to the summit. Spectacular views from the top! Two options to the summit, through a bunker or the "new" bypass trail. Nominal fee to enter park. On Saturday mornings, enjoy the Farmer's Market at KCC. Recommend early start as it is often hot at midday. Don't forget your hiking stick, water, and camera.

Driving to the start box
2863 Kalakaua Avenue, Honolulu, HI 96815-4028. This hotel is located on the east end (Diamond Head) of Kalakaua Avenue, across the street from Kapiolani Park. Kalakaua Avenue is the primary street through Waikiki. Street parking is available. Via TheBus: Take TheBus #2 (Waikiki-Kapiolani Park) from Ala Moana Shopping Center.
