Description: The walk is on scenic trails through Angelica Creek Park that extend along Angelica Creek providing access to flowering meadows, wetlands and the Schuylkill River Trail system. It also goes through surrounding residential areas and passes through the campus of Alvernia University. Surface ranges from asphalt to crushed stone to dirt. There are a few rolling hills but none significant.

Start Point / Driving Directions: The Nature Place at Angelica Creek Park, 575 St. Bernardine Street, Reading, PA 19607. From the PA Turnpike I-76, take the Morgantown Exit for I-176. Go north on I-176 for 7.5 miles to Exit 7 for PA-10 toward Green Hills. Turn left on PA10N/Morgantown Rd. Go 4.5 miles to St. Bernardine St. and turn left. Then it's a slight right to enter the parking lot for Angelica Creek Park. LBW road signs will be posted along the route.

Comments: Angelica Creek Park represents a natural outdoor classroom and recreational park, and is home to The Nature Place, an education center which opened in 2017. The Nature Place serves as a testament to conservation principles related to green building, energy stewardship, and sustainable development. You are invited to explore the building and all its many facets for sustainability, and to visit the gift shop.
