Event information

The City of Sedalia, founded in October 1860, is the seat of Pettis County in west- central Missouri. Located 90 miles east of Kansas City and 190 miles west of St. Louis, Sedalia's location at the intersection of US routes 50 and 65 gives residents and businesses easy access to Interstate 70, state capital Jefferson City and the Lake of the Ozarks recreational area. Sedalia is home to the annual Missouri State Fair held each August for several weeks. Downtown Sedalia has beautiful old stores and resturants. While you are in Sedalia, make sure to tour the Sedalia Katy Depot (which is the actual start of the walk), the Daum Museum of Contemporary Art, and the majestic Bothwell Lodge! There is a 5K option to walk on a beautiful, but rugged trail at this Missouri State Park Historic Site. Keep an eye to the sky during your visit and you might just catch the B-2 Stealth Bomber hovering overhead from Whiteman Air Force Base.
