Description: 11km trail goes through the Bladensburg Waterfront Park, follows the Anacostia River Trail into DC, then goes by Kenilworth Park to the Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens. to walk around the Lily/Lotus ponds and on boardwalks to overlooks to view the tidal marsh lands, before returning to the Anacostia River Trail, then follows the trail back to the start. Two 5km trails can be combined for 10km. One follows the same route as the 11 until just after crossing the DC boarder then returns to the start. The second 5km trail goes into the Port Town of Bladensburg, passing the Magruder, Market Masters, and Bostwick Houses, crosses the river and follows the Star-Spangled Trail through the port cities of Cottage City and Colmar Manor, before returning to the start along a different section of the Anacostia River Trail. The 11km walk and the second 5km walk can be combined to form a 16km walk.

Start Point / Driving Directions: 4601 Annapolis Road, Bladensburg, MD 20710 N38� 56.3658', W076� 56.3601, From Washington D.C., take New York Avenue East. Turn North on Bladensburg Road. Pass Peace Cross on left. You are now on MD Route 450. Take 1st right into Bladensburg Waterfront Park. There is a sign at the entrance. From Maryland, from the Beltway, take exit 23 which is Kenilworth Avenue (route 201) South towards Bladensburg. Go five miles. After traffic light for Upshur Street intersection, go right on exit ramp to MD Route 450 (Annapolis Road). Go left at end of exit ramp onto Route 450 West. Park Entrance is 2 short blocks on the left.

Comments: All trails are a mix of paved and natural paths. Dogs are allowed on leashes. Water, candy, and bathroom are available at the start and bathroom and water at the Kenilworth Aquatic Garden Visitor Center
