Start Point / Driving Directions: 10901 Scarlet Tanager Loop, Laurel, MD 20708. From the Batlimore/Washington Parkway take the Powder Mill Road exit east exit 8. In aprox. 2 milles turn Right into the Patuxent Refuge National Wildlife Visitors Center.

Comments: 5/10k will go through the Visitor Center and on paved and natural trails and boardwalks in the South Tract of the Research Refuge Center. Established in 1936 by executive order of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, the Patuxent Research Refuge is the nations only national wildlife refuge established to support wildlife research. Please keep pets on a leash no longer than 10 feet and clean up after them. Pets are not allowed in the lakes.
