Description:
|
The Visitor's Center is open Mon.-Fri. 8 to 5. Please use the Visitor's Center whenever possible. Walk should be done in daylight hours. Trail includes the Capital, more than a dozen statues of former governors, War Memorials, Mickelson "Fighting Stallions" memorial, Capitol Lake, and Missouri River. Pets on a leash, but not in the Capital building (clean up after pets).

Visitor's Center 605-224-7361 (Out of state 1-800-962-2034) 800 West Dakota Avenue. Located one block east of the Missouri River Bridge at the corner of Dakota and James. It is one block toward the river from highways 14/83/34. Mon.-Fri. 8 to 5. (or) Alternate Start point (evenings and weekends); Ramkota Rivercentre Inn at 920 West Sioux Avenue. One block east of the Missouri River Bridge on Highways 14/83/34.
