Description: Both routes of this walk start at the Boardman Marina parking lot shelter with the petroglyphs. You will walk around the small park and see what is called "Lake Umatilla". Past some old locust trees (these are the only remnants of the orginial Boardman) to the Marina. (10K) Go past the RV park to an old groove of cottonwood and russian olive trees to the Historic Captain Al James barge tugboat, past a veterans' memorial. Walk along the side of the Columbia River to Marine Drive. Walk along Marine Drive into the town of Boardman going over the railroad overpass bridge. Walk through the quiet town of Boardman and see some interesting sites along your way. (6K) You will walk past the RV park to the Railroad Overpass and cross to enter the town of Boardman and walk through the town with some interesting sites along the way.

Location: The Boardman Registration is by Mail Only.
Start Point / Driving Directions: THERE IS NOT A START BOX.
Register by sending a signed waiver, $3.00 for Award Credit and a SASE or email address to the point of contact. Then you will be provided, either by postal mail or email the driving directions, walk directions and a map.
Once the walk has been completed, notify the point of contact, if award credit is needed.
