Event information
Tue-Sat 9:30am-5pm. Sun 1-5pm. Open holiday Mondays after Labor Day. Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Flat and on hardtop surface -- follows the Dan River. Rails-to-Trails walk. This walk qualifies for the City of Danville in Virginia Cities Program. Always carry water.

Driving to the start box
677 Craghead St. 29S (Danville Expy/Bypass). Exit 58W (follow brown DSC signs). Approx 2 miles, left at 2nd stoplight to Main St Bridge. Cross over bridge, left to Craghead St at stoplight. Science Center approx 1 mile on left at "Crossing at the Dan." S: 29N to Danville to 29N Expy (also Rt 265 Bypass). ***E: 58W to Danville (follow brown DSC signs). 2nd stoplight, pass exits to US29, left at 2nd stoplight to Main St Bridge. ***W: 58E to Danville. Exit Downtown/86S/29S-Business (Central). 2nd Exit Memorial. Becomes Craghead St, cross Main. Science Center approx 1 mile on left at "Crossing at the Dan."
