Event information
Daily dawn to dusk. Drive 1.4 miles from start point to trail head. Driving directions printed on bike directions. In the late 1800's the Northern Pacific Railway used the line as a spur for logging, but abandoned the route in 1990. State Parks acquired the railroad right-of-way for use as a trail in 1993. Beginning in urban Chehalis, the paved trail heads west through the farmlands of Adna. You will see horses, sheep, and cows grazing in the fields and may share the trail with walkers, as well as equestrians. Restored bridges take travelers over rivers and streams before the trail enters the cool, forested Willapa Hills. At about mile 6 pavement turns to compacted gravel. Bike helmets required.

730 NW Liberty Place, Chehalis WA. From I-5 Northbound: Take Exit 77. Turn right. After northbound freeway entrance, take immediate left into Liberty Place. From I-5 Southbound: Take Exit 77. Take left over freeway. After northbound freeway entrance, take immediate left into Liberty Place. Ask for walk box at registration counter.
