YRE is not being renewed for 2019. Walk goes to shady, attractive older residential/park areas including the Court-Chemeketa Historic District, along Mill Creek & OR State Hospital where "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" was filmed & highlighted in its museum. 6K (5.7K) concentrates on Court-Chemeketa National Register of Historic Places. Starting point also for Governor's Mansion and Waterways YRE's & seasonal Minto-Brown Island Park.

890 Oak St SE, Salem, OR 97301, (503)561-5200. I-5 take exit 253, go to Salem City Center. Continue two blocks on Mission past 12th St traffic light. Right on Capitol. Park in visitors' parking structure. Open 24/7. Registration materials in file cabinet across from Information Desk in Bldg A (ER/Admissions).
