Description: Daily Dawn to Dusk. PLEASE CARRY WATER ON THIS WALK. This walk has been modified with several options to allow walkers to visit Hoover Dam and walk across the state line to Arizona via the magnificent Hoover Dam Bypass Bridge.This trail is in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area along scenic desert trails. Part is on the historic railroad bed (thru tunnels) that was used to carry supplies for construction of Hoover Dam. There are many scenic vistas of Lake Mead, and mountain / desert flora and fauna along this trail. The contrast between lake and desert is breathtaking.

FROM LAS VEGAS: Take US 93/95 South to Boulder City (about 25 miles). At the first light in Boulder City proper,continue straight staying on Business US 93 (Nevada Way). Go thru town and turn right on Arizona St. the Hotel is about a half block on your right. FROM ARIZONA: Cross Mike O'Callahan Bridge and remain on US 93. At the first light in Boulder City proper, turn left on Business US 93 (Nevada Way).Go thru town and turn right on Arizona St. The Hotel is about a half block on your right. After registration, you will drive about 7 miles to the start of the walk.
