CLOSED DUE TO GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN 8:30 am to 3:00pm Tues - Sun. Ticket Center closes promptly at 5:00 pm. Call before going on Federal Holidays or when snowing. Route is on city streets and sidewalks with a couple of low-grade hills. The trail goes past President Truman's home, The Truman Presidential Library, Jackson County Courthouse and many historic sites from the late 1800's & early 1900's. Please let groups and people going on tours sign in first. Trail is medium difficulty for strollers and hard for wheelchairs. Water and restrooms are available at the start .

219 N. Main St., Independence, MO. 816-254-7199. Coming East or West on I-70 to Noland Rd; go north on Noland Rd to Truman Rd; Turn Left on Truman Rd to Main St. Turn left on Main St. Ticket Center is on the southeast corner of Truman Rd and Main St, in the Truman Home Ticket Office. Parking is across the street in parking lot.
