Event information

This Kern County walk features the area to and around the town of Tehachapi—once a huge railroad center. The route is on sidewalks, bike paths, and sides of roads. The walk includes a wonderful train depot which seems to be the unofficial Visitors' Center of the town (closed Tuesday and Wednesday). You'll pass old theaters, plenty of old buildings and homes with their histories told on sidewalk signs, and many lovely murals.
