Event information
Walkers will see both historic and modern buildings and sights. The BOK Center is a 19,199 seat multi-purpose arena, the Mayo Hotel hosted such notables as Charlie Chaplin, Mae West, JFK. Art Deco decorates several buildings throughout downtown. Blue Dome Station was the first in Ok to have hot water, pressurized air and car wash. John Hope Franklin Reconciliation Park memorializes the Tulsa Race Riot of 1921 and tells the story of the African American role in building Oklahoma. Guthrie Green is an urban garden and performance space. Many points of historic interest annotated in the walk directions.
