Passes the fire station, the police station and city hall, the Cannon Beach Historical Society museum, Coaster Theatre Playhouse, and the library, Elks Lodge. Ecola Creek qualifies it for Birds and Beasts (ecola means whale). Fir Street Bridge, Haystack Rock and Tillamook Rock Lighthouse qualify it for Sticks & Stones.

Event information

Daily, dawn to dusk. Restroom and water at walk start and along route. Includes new trail through the woods and around the water treatment lagoons and along Ecola Creek, this scenic stroll goes through quiet residential neighborhoods and the business district of this coastal resort town and 2 city parks. About 3k on the beach is part of the Pacific Coast Trail. Tillamook Rock Lighthouse, which can be seen from a couple of points on the route, is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Driving to the start box

Warren Way & Hemlock Street. Hwy 101 to Cannon Beach. Driving south on Hwy 101, take the third exit. Registration materials are in a small black vinyl portable file case by the computer by the stairs to your right as you enter the hotel. Park at Tolovana Wayside (NOT at the Inn) while you do your walk.
