Event information

Enjoy views of Ward Lake as you walk in neighborhoods surrounding the lake. Ward Lake is a quiet fishing lake managed by the Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife for Rainbow Trout and Kokanee. The lake also has Largemouth Bass, Bluegill Sunfish, Coastal Cutthroat Trout, and Rock Bass. Only the 10k route goes right down to the shore. The path down to the lake is the only gravel surface on the walk. The city of Olympia's Kettle View Park was so named because it's close to several glacial kettles, which are large depressions in the ground formed by retreating glaciers.
