Event comments
Part of the trail is in North Beach and goes by historic homes, antique stores, eateries, marshland and along a boardwalk. This portion of the walk would be rated 1A. The part in Chesapeake Beach has more hills, including one steep downhill section. Fee for IVV credit or non-IVV is $3.00. Children 12 and under walk for free (IVV-credit included) courtesy of Freestate Happy Wanderers.

Event information
Daily start 6am-6pm. Start box at registration desk. Please complete registration outside on deck. No pets allowed in Chesapeake Beach Resort and Spa; however, they are allowed on trails. Owners must clean up after pets. The trail is on roads, sidewalks and boardwalks with bay views for much of the walk.

Driving to the start box
4165 Mears Ave, 20732. (410) 257-4464. From I-495/I-95 (DC) - Take exit 11, Rt 4 S. Just before Calvert County line, exit right to Rt 260. Proceed approx 8 miles to Chesapeake Beach. When Rt 260 intersects Rt 261, at light, turn RIGHT to next traffic light, turn LEFT to Mears. Chesapeake Beach Resort and Spa is at the end of the street. From Baltimore I-695 - Take I-97/Rt 3/Rt 301 corridor S to Rt 4, near Upper Marlboro. Go S on Rt 4 and proceed as above.
